So this past week has been kinda crazy, getting ready for finals and it's now the last week of school before finals and things are just crazy. Luckily, I don't have too many way crazy finals and I am thinking I will do pretty well on them. Lately my roomie Danielle and I have been hanging out a lot and it has been way great. We have become way close and I love it. Last saturday we went out and took a bunch of pictures together just cause we were way bored and we had SO much fun together. Nothing else is really new. I am just excited for this semester to be over because I am pretty burnt out with these classes. Next semester I am taking harder classes, but they are more interesting I think. So I am pretty excited for that! I am way excited that it is getting closer to Christmas and I can not wait to go home and be with my family and spend time with siblings and my mommy! Well, that is pretty much it for now!!

Update

Okay, so I kinda forgot about my blog and so I have not written anything in a long time. Honestly, nothing that exciting has happened since last time. Randy came home from his mission on November 3rd. That was super fun!! It is great to have him back. Um, Thanksgiving happened, that was fun, too. It was great fun to see all of my family. Oh one weekend I went on a date to see ABBA Mania. That was tons of fun!!
Well, now it is December, which is totally crazy. Right now I am just going crazy about finals and making sure I have good grades. I am very excited for the semester to be over and have some time off. Next semester is going to be a challenge, but I think it will be a good one! I have lots of classes with my friends which will be very helpful.
I am making lots of friends and becoming very close with the ones I already have. We hang out all the time and just have fun together. Things are going great here at Dixie State! I just can't wait for it to start getting warm again! I miss the heat!

Rainy Days

So this whole week has been pretty stormy and rainy, and it's beautiful :) I love it. So Monday, my friend Duke and I were talking and realized that it was pouring way hard outside. We decided that we wanted to go out and play in the rain. We went outside and played and danced in the rain and within like 5 or so minutes, we were completely drenched. Then Duke wanted to go say hi to his friend who lives across campus so we did. We ran through campus in the rain, stomping in every puddle we passed. We got to the street that his friend lived and we were about to cross the road when we realized that it was practically a river. I had a hard time jumping over the gutter because it totally messed with my head. Anyways, we hung out with his friend for a little bit and then walked back home. It was tons of fun, but now I am sick because I spent WAY too much time with Duke. haha Playing in the rain + acting like a 5 year old = the most fun a college student will have!!!

My Saturday Adventure

So, Saturday started off with me going to bed at 5 in the morning. That was fun, I stayed up talking to my cousin Ashley on skype til almost 2:30. It was tons of fun. Then I went outside because some of my friends were out by the pool. On my way out I passed my friends ( Duke and Brandon) apartment and our friend Cody. They were all about to play the game Phase Ten Twist when I knocked on their window and told them to come play out by the pool with us girls so we could all play because we weren't allowed in their apartment because it was after curfew. So they came out and we all played Phase Ten Twist until 4:30 (that game is so dang long). It was tons of fun though. So I was finally in bed asleep by five and I planned to stay asleep practically all day haha. Well, my dear friend Brady really likes to wake me up by phone call when I am super tired. So Brady called me at 8:30 in the morning and told me he wanted to talk to me, I wouldn't have gone up there but he told me he had breakfast for me, so I went. :) We talked for a while and then I went back to bed at like 10 and slept til about noon but just laid in bed for like an hour. I finally got up and got ready and I went over to my friends house (Dan, Sterling, and Jeff) My other friend Corinne was over there and they were getting ready to go to Cafe Rio. They told me to come so I did. While we were at Cafe Rio, we were all finishing up our food when Dan tries to smash his water cup. It didn't work so well and Sterling had to show him how it was done. "You just gotta karate chop it like this! HIYA!" So karate chops the cup and the cup goes flying across our table to the table next to ours and bounces across their trays and they weren't too happy about that. We didn't know what to do at that point so Sterling apologized while trying his hardest not to crack up and we all booked it out of there. It gave us a pretty good laugh. Then we decided that we wanted to go cliff jumping at Sand Hollow, so we did and we had a great time and it was Me, Sara, Danielle, Corinne, Jeff, Dan, and Sterling. We had a blast and I realized that I am just a big baby and it took me forever to finally jump off the medium high one (which looks like it is about a million feet in the air) but I did and I lived through it. The End :)

Something Other Than Tennis

So yesterday I took a brutal beating. It all started off at the ward activity. We went and hiked around and we went through "the crack" which is a tiny space between two rock walls and you try to think skinny thoughts while you make your way through. that was fun. After that we ate food and stuff, but there were a few of my friends and I that wanted to go try the crack again in the dark. We started out just great but I was climbing up and I was about to stand up and tell the people behind me not to hit their heads on the rock above. Just as I began to stand up SMACK I banged my head pretty hard bit my tongue and got knocked out. Just kidding I didn't get knocked out but I did hit pretty dang hard.So me and my friend Brandon are the only ones who had the guts to go all the way through so we met the others on the other side.
After we got home we planned to go play SOTT (something other than tennis). It was my friends Duke, Brandon, Cody, Lexi, Danielle and me. We went and played a great game of SOTT and after we were walking through campus and decided to go play in the fountain. It all started as just fun, but then Duke thought it would be a great idea to put me in the middle of the fountain where all the water is shooting out. He's a lot stronger than me so I just had to take it, cause there was no way I was getting away. So he threw me in and I slipped and fell and banged my right shin. Then I went to throw my friend Lexi in but she turned it around and I got thrown in again. Brandon was just sitting on the side kinda minding is own business when Duke Lexi and I went over and started to get him wet. He jumped up and goes after me and threw me into the dead center of the fountain, all of the water went right up in my face. I ended up banging my other shin pretty hard, but didn't really think about it. As we were walking home I looked down and realized I was bleeding and had a huge bump and both of my shins. So later that night when I got home and was showering I found about five more bruises, scrapes on my hips and legs from the hike, and cut on the side of my foot and a bruise on the bottom of my other foot. Oh and my scalp is green because I have a bruise on that too from hitting my head. Like I said, I took a brutal beating, but it was all worth it. :)

History

So I have this history class that I am taking. It's not too bad of a class, but the homework sucks. We have to read two different books and write a one page double-spaced journal response comparing and contrasting and adding our own opinion about it. Not too bad right? Well, we have to do that EVERY WEEK! And on top of that, we have to find the same article in three different newspapers around the world ( NY Times, Moscow Time and The Guardian) and write a journal response on that every week as well. So, that is my complaint about my history class, but just reassure, I will still do the dumb assignments every week because that would be a stupid way to fail the class. All of my other classes are pretty great and I don't have any complaints about those. Just history.

College Update

So I am starting a blog because that is what people are doing these days I guess haha. Just a quick update.
Classes are going pretty good, I like all of my professors. I really like my english teacher, he is way awesome and he makes me actually like english. Which I never thought I would say, but it's the truth. My math teacher is really nice but kind of remings me of a turtle, but he is super funny. I don't like homework, but I don't really think anyone likes homework.
Um, I love my singles ward, I have an awesome Bishopric. They are really nice and super fun. My ward is full of really awesome nice people. I love it. I am the Family Home Evening Council Chair in my ward. It is an awesome calling and it keeps me involved and I have met lots of new people.
My apartment and living arrangements: I LOVE my roommates. They are awesome and we all get along great. We have lots of fun together. I have super awesome neighbors who I have become good friends with. One of which I have become very good friends with and it's awesome. The internet at my apartment isn't very good and it is pretty frustrating, but that's okay. I am making lots of friends out here and I love it. Sometimes I forget to do my homework because I just want to hang out with friends, but don't worry mom, I still get all of my homework done :) Well that is pretty much it.
Oh but the reason why my blog is called burnt toast is because that pretty much just sums it up, I eat that everyday for breakfast, best way to start the day.
